A dreamy, abstract interpretation of a truly dramatic sunset photograph I took while on a Mediterranean cruise. The distorted shape of the setting sun north of the Strait of Messina resulted from volcanic ash particulate spewed into the air by nearby Mt. Etna, Sicily.
A creative exploration of our world as we navigate 'positive' vs 'negative' realities. An image I captured at a time when the pandemic was beginning to take hold of our society. Solo photo walk outings into near-to-home landscapes gave me plenty of time to ponder the future and reflect upon our once cherished and much taken for granted freedoms.
From my home just north to the Toronto, Canada city limits, my urbanscape view can be both beautiful and very dramatic. After a storm-filled day, the skies partially cleared as sunset approached to present this vibrant vista.
